Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026
Rideology (“we”, “us”) provides a warehouse ride sharing service. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR. This is a template to be reviewed by your legal adviser before launch.
Data we collect
- Account — name, mobile number, role, and your warehouse, department, shift and team.
- Location — your start address/postcode (geocoded to coordinates) to match nearby trips and build routes.
- Driver details — vehicle make, model, registration and seat count (drivers only).
- Usage — trips, bookings, and notifications generated as you use the service.
- Billing — subscription status and Direct Debit references handled by our payments provider (GoCardless). We do not store bank details.
How we use it
- Authenticate you by one‑time code (OTP) sent to your mobile.
- Match passengers to nearby trips and compute the shortest pickup route.
- Manage seat bookings, approvals and notifications.
- Operate trials and subscriptions.
Sharing
Limited trip details (e.g. driver name, pickup point) are shared between matched drivers and passengers to make the journey work. We use processors including an SMS provider (Twilio), maps/geocoding (Google), push delivery (Firebase) and payments (GoCardless). We do not sell your data.
Retention & your rights
We keep data for as long as your account is active and as required by law. You can request access, correction, deletion or export of your data, and withdraw consent, by contacting us. To delete your account, use our account deletion request page.
